If you’re organising a literary, book, or similar event in the North East, we can help you promote it for free.
Our monthly Literature Events listing reaches over 500 public subscribers throughout the North East, as well as all students and staff within our Department. If you’re organising an event, complete the form below and we will consider adding it to the relevant newsletter. Note that although the newsletter is pretty comprehensive, there are some things we usually do not include.
Please note that we reserve the right not to include submitted events, where we consider they would not be relevant to the newsletter’s readership; we reserve the right to edit the description of your event, to make it suitable for the format of the newsletter.
What’s Generally Included
The newsletter covers talks, lectures and discussions about things literary and bookish that will be of interest to those who study or enjoy literature, whether academics or members of the public. These include:
- Author talks, lectures and discussions on literary topics
- Academic seminars and workshops
- Poetry readings
- One-off creative writing events
- One-off performances or interactive exhibitions
What’s Not Included
While our Newsletter is comprehensive, there are some things we do not generally include, either because there are too many such activities to make the listing useful, because the activities are already gathered elsewhere or because the events are recurrent groups or meetings. These include:
- Book signings
- Drama and performances
- Regular reading groups
- Regular creative writing groups and workshops
- Long-term exhibitions
