A Quick-Witted Poetry Reading: Luke Kennard and Tony Williams (20th November)

After a full house for the first reading of the new Colpitts Poetry season a fortnight ago, come along to the second event of the year, featuring some extraordinarily quick-witted, hilarious and moving poems from these two masters of wit and innovation. Doors open at 20.00 on 20th November, in Alington House, Durham.

Tony Williams’s first book, The Corner of Arundel Lane and Charles Street, full of unusual voices and bizarre goings on, was shortlisted for the Aldeburgh First Collection prize. Luke Kennard’s hilarious, witty, and genre-bending work has earned him widespread praise, and made him one of the PBS’s Next Generation Poets.
