Our English Events newsletter for December 2013 is now available. The newsletter lists a wide variety of literature-related events taking place at Durham University and across the wider North East region. The newsletter will be updated over the coming month as more events are added to external websites. Please follow our Twitter feed or Facebook page for the latest news.
Highlights at Durham University this month include the launch of an exhibition of science-fiction robots at Palace Green Library, an Inventions of the Text seminar on Thinking Radioactively, and a Royal Institute of Philosophy lecture on Literature and the Re-shaping of the Mind.
Elsewhere, the Leverhulme lecture series continues at Newcastle University with Professor Michael Davison speaking on The Rage of Caliban: Missing Bodies in Modernist Aesthetics, and the third annual poetry symposium at Northumbria University.
