Roundtable on Translation and Reading with Jacek Dehnel and Michael O’Neill

Arc Translation event

You are warmly invited to attend a poetry reading by Jacek Dehnel and Michael O’Neill on Tuesday, 12 November, at St Cuthbert’s (SCR), 12 South Bailey. The reading will be preceded by a roundtable discussion on literary translation, at which Jacek and Michael will be joined by Chantal Wright. This event is presented by the CPP in association with Arc Publications.
Jacek Dehnel is a leading Polish poet, novelist, and translator (of Larkin and Auden, among other English poets). He is also editor of Six Polish Poets (Arc, 2009). Chantal Wright is a Visiting Fellow in the School of Translation and Interpretation at the University of Ottawa, and is currently writing a Routledge guide to literary translation. Michael O’Neill will be chairing the discussion and reading a selection of his poems, including those published in Wheel (Arc, 2008).
