Our English Events newsletter for November 2013 is now available. The newsletter lists a wide variety of literature-related events taking place at Durham University and across the wider North East region. The newsletter will be updated over the coming month as more events are added to external websites. Please follow our Twitter feed or Facebook page for the latest news.
Highlights at Durham University this month include a poetry reading and workshop by Institute of Advanced Study fellow, Linda France, and a one-day symposium on Light and the Poetics of Ambivalence. There are also several events organised by the Centre for Poetry and Poetics, including the first open mic night for aspiring poets and creative writers.
Elsewhere, the Fashionable Diseases project at Northumbria University hosts two workshops and Professor Michael Davidson delivers the first of this year’s Leverhulme lectures, on Cosmopoetics after Modernism.
