Our English Events newsletter for February 2013 is now available. The newsletter lists a wide variety of literature-related events taking place at Durham University and across the wider North East region. The newsletter will be updated over the coming month as more events are added to external websites. Please follow our Twitter feed for the latest news.
Public events organised by the Department of English Studies this month include the second seminar of the Making Darkness Visible series, featuring Professor Angela Esterhammer (University of Toronto) on the 1820s, and an Institute of Advanced Study lecture on English lyric poetry, with Professor Michael O’Neill (Durham University).
Outside of Durham’s Department of English Studies, Professor Raymond Tallis delivers a Royal Institute of Philosophy lecture, and novelist Jim Crace comes to the Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts.
