English Events in November 2012

Our English Events newsletter for November 2012 is now available. The newsletter lists a wide variety of literature-related events taking place at Durham University and across the wider North East region.

Highlights at Durham University this month include a workshop and symposium on Memory and Time organised as part of the annual theme of the Institute of Advanced Study, and the first Inventions of the Text seminars of the new academic year.

Elsewhere, the start of November sees the return of BBC Radio 3’s Free Thinking Festival to the Sage Gateshead, with free talks from writers such as Colm Tóibin, Philippa Gregory and Lee Hall. The end of November includes the third annual Newcastle Winter Book Festival.

For full listings, and for details of how to subscribe to our monthly newsletter, visit our English Events in Durham and the North East page. Regular reminders and event updates are also posted on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

If you have missed past English-related events within Durham University, you can download podcasts from our Public Lectures page.
