Welcome to the Research in English At Durham (READ) blog.

The READ blog will give you an insight into the literary research emerging from Durham University’s world class Department of English Studies.  As well as highlighting our research interests across a wide range of literature – from Anglo-Saxon sagas to contemporary world fiction – READ will also bring you timely comment on literature in the news, interviews and lectures with our academic researchers, and thought pieces designed to stimulate discussion.

We hope that you will enjoy reading – and we encourage you to contribute to our literary conversations by posting your own comments.

You can keep track of us by following the blog via email or by subscribing to the RSS feed for this blog. We will also shortly be launching a Twitter feed and Facebook page.
